MEADOW Park U-13s began their Central Warwickshire Youth Football League Divis- ion One season in earnest with a 3-2 defeat at Bartley Reds.
Terrell Jeffers had bagged a brace but their rivals bagged a late winner.
Santiago Colts Girls U-13s defeated Stratford Town 5-0, with goals for Keron Mambonzo (3), Libby Stoodley and Rebecca Chalinor.
Colts’ U-11s Lions saw off Bromfield Lions 8-1, with Finbarr McAndrew (2), Harry Neal (2), McKenzie O’Sullivan (2), Lewis Fullilove and man-of-the-match Evan Close all on the scoresheet.
The U-11s Crusaders lost 6-2 to Alvechurch Lions, while Santiago Colts Allstars U-12s edged out Maypole 2-1, with goals for Joe Smith and Jose Donaghey.
Adam Curzey, Harvey Thompson and Lewis McDonald scored a Santiago U-12s Superstars defeated Crusaders 3-1.
The U-13s Shamrocks defeated Bartley Reds South 5-1, while in the Open Cup, Colts U-14s lost 3-2 to Castle Bromwich in extra-time.
