JOINT boss Wayne Oliver believes Droitwich Spa's players must put behind them Saturday's 5-1 defeat to Midlands Division Two leaders Coventry United on Saturday.

Spa face an important game when they go to mid-table Chelmsley Town on Saturday (2pm ko).

They will need little motivation after a second half glut of goals scuppered a competitive display.

Droitwich suffered a setback in the second minute, when Jack Connolly's effort crossed the line before being cleared but was ruled out.

United went into half-time with a 1-0 lead and doubled it just after the break but Spa forced an own goal as the game looked evenly-balanced.

However, Coventry went 3-1 ahead despite goal-scorer Muziwandile Nduna being offside and United bagged two more goals.

Oliver said: "For 65 minutes we were competitive but I think we were unfortunate because we had a couple of decisions go against us.

"We started well and Jack was unlucky to see his effort, which crossed the line, ruled out.

"Coventry's third was definitely offside, their player was at least three yards offside.

"After that the players' heads dropped. I wouldn't say we would have won but the margin would have been less.

"But the players have to put this result behind them because we've got another big game."
