JOINT Droitwich Spa manager Wayne Oliver has said Fairfield Villa are still the favourites for Saturday's Worcestershire Junior Cup semi-final (1.45pm ko).

Spa have beaten their local rivals twice in the space of a month but this weekend's is the most important clash yet.

Droitwich won the cup last season, while Villa are keen to wrestle back local bragging rights.

Fairfield are above Spa in the table but joint boss Paul Oakes believed Droitwich are favourites.

Oliver said: "Paul will say we are favourites but we're not.

"The game is going to be very interesting. It's a one off cup game with a final as the prize so neither team is going to want to lose.

"We've had two wins over Fairfield but there's not going to be a lot in the game."

Striker James Lemon, who has scored six goals in as many games, is cup-tied after playing for Stourport Swifts in the Worcestershire Senior Urn.

Midfielder Graham Roberts is also a doubt.

Spa saw their four-game winning run come to an end in Midlands Division Two after being edged out 2-1 by Barnt Green Spartak on Saturday.

They had been trailing 2-0 before Lemon bagged a goal in the 80th minute. Despite a late push, Droitwich could not rescue a point.

"We weren't as tight at the back as we have been and not a clinical in front of goal as we can be," added Oliver.
