BARNT Green booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Graham Williamson Trophy by edging out Kidderminster Victoria by 14 runs.

The Cherry Hill Road side will now take on Ombersley on Saturday at home (12.30pm start).

Green were put into bat and a 163 partnership between Ed Pollock and Tom Banton saw the home side recover from 11-3 to make 245-5 in 40 overs.

Kidderminster made a solid start in reply by Andy Sutton made the vital breakthrough when he removed KVCC skipper Matt Pardoe for 32.

Nathan Round (49)and Craig Wood (50) were getting among the runs before James Beesely and Tom Brown had struck.

Kidderminster collpased from 189-5 to 231-9.

Luke Radford and Josh Poysden took wickets each.
