BROMSGROVE rider Phil Blacker showed he is still in good form in preparation for next season’s Cyclo Cross events, by winning the Stourport on Seven Circuit race.
On the purpose built circuit, Blacker broke clear of his rivals early in the race, along with just more rider, and soon left him to ride solo to the finish.
The week before he had finished second on the same circuit.
Blacker, who rides for Coventry-based Team Jewson, will keep in good shape ready for the 2015-16 Cross season which gets underway in September.
In 2014, Black had topped the standings at the BWA West Midlands Cyclo Cross Championships in the veterans over-40s age section, winning gold.
