BROMSGROVE will be hoping for better weather when they entertain Oswestry in the Birmingham League Division One.

The Boars were left with nothing to do after heavy rain last weekend washed out their clash at Leamington.

Now they welcome an Oswestry side who are fourth from bottom with just two wins all season.

Captain Mark Evenson said: “It’s not going to be easy against Oswestry but we are obviously more comfortable at home and know our conditions very well.

“They have a very good player in Robbie Clarke, who plays for Worcestershire, and he might be the key man.

“But we’re keen to get a good result after last week’s washout.”

Young fast bowler Graeme Whiles is set to be out for a spell after tearing ligaments in his right knee. He had previously suffered the same injury in his left knee.
