FAIRFIELD Villa joint boss Paul Oakes admits that derby rivals Droitwich Spa have the upper hand as they prepare for the second game of their derby double header this weekend.

Goals for Nick Seabourne and James Lemon ensured home side Spa won 2-0 in the Midlands Division Two clash.

Villa face another trip to King George's Playing Fields this weekend they they tackle their Worcestershire rivals in the County Junior Cup.

Last season, Fairfield reached the final only to be edged out 1-0 by Inkberrow.

Oakes said: "I must say Wayne Oliver and Mark Owen have done a very good job at Droitwich, they are no longer the side you think you can get three points off easily.

"But it's not just on the pitch, there is a real buzz around the whole club and they have a very good set-up.

"We defended staunchly in the first half but after the break Spa found a way through.

"We're now underdogs for Saturday's game."

Villa will be without Earl Jordan, who damaged knee ligaments on Sunday, and Shane Calder, who has a professional boxing match, for the big game.

Fairfield are fourth from bottom after a slow start and then face a tough run of games.

After Droitwich, they entertain Alvis Sporting in the President's Cup on October 3 and Barnt Green in the Les James Cup on October 20.

Oakes said: "To be honest we've had a lot of players missing because of injuries and unavailability so we're effectively having our pre-season now, which is not ideal.

"I think we'll settle down in the next three or four games."
