THE result of the day in the Bromsgrove & District League saw Division One AFC Northfield defeat Premier Division outfit Oak Tree Sporting 3-2 in the WA Harris Cup.

Goals from Michael Chaffatt, Ben Pickersgill and Daniel Beaumont worked wonders. Oak Tree’s day was made worse when Tom Devaney suffered a broken collarbone.

In the Bromsgrove Charity Cup, Thomas Brothers saw off Redditch League Division One side Winyates Wanderers 7-0.

Rob Burkus, Ian Wroe, Richard Tyler and Craig Wood scored for Brothers, who now play CBH Fasteners in the next round in four weeks time.

Bromsgrove United also won in the Charity Cup, seeing off fellow Division One side Chaddesley Corbett 5-0, goals coming from Brad Bullimore, Jordan Allmark, Kieran Pace, Michael Hegarty and Ashley Woodfield.
