BROMSGROVE’S men’s team produced a stunning display to sink Sikh Union 5-4 in the West Midlands Premier.

The Boars had been trailing 3-0 by half-time but fought back to 4-4 before player/coach Andy Langland bagged a last-gasp winner.

Slick Union took an impressive lead into the break but Bromsgrove responded with gusto as Karl Troth, Alex Jenkins and Ben Bridgman all scored.

Union edged ahead again before Bevan Edwards scored from a short corner and Langland pounced in the dying minutes/ The thirds went down to Stratford 4-1, despite a consolation effort for Charlie Wright.

Youthful Bromsgrove fourths battled out a 2-2 with Old Halesonians.

Andy Potter and Dave Bennett had handed them a 2-0 lead but Hales hit back with two efforts in the final 15 minutes.

The fifths went down 3-1 to Worcester’s eighth team.

Simon Gompertz had scored in an even first period, only for Worcester to hit their stride as Bromsgrove tired.
