CHADDESLEY Corbett stepped up their title bid with a fine four-wicket win over Worcestershire County League Division Two leaders Redditch.
Second-placed Corbett have closed the gap to 10 points after a fine all-round display.
After losing the toss, Chaddesley were put into bowl first and kept their rivals to 224-9 in their 50 overs.
Ikram Mussadaq took 3-28 and Asif Iqbal 1-17, while Jack Roberson (63) and Tom Field (77) scored Redditch’s runs.
In reply, Chaddesley opener Ibrahim Jiva scored 98 and Bilal Hussan bagged 33 as the home side made 226-6 to seal victory.
They are at home to Alvechurch and Hopwood on Saturday (1pm start).
