Tennis B team scoop promotion after dramatic end to season
BROMSGROVE Tennis Club have been celebrating after their Men's B team won promotion to Division Two of the Hereford and Worcester League.
In what proved an extremely tight conclusion to the season, Bromsgrove finished level on points with Stourbridge and Bewdley.
To make matters more exciting all three sides recorded the same score on rubbers won and lost 56-28.
In a nail-biting countback, Bromsgrove took the second promotion spot behind Stourbridge after gaining more wins than Bewdley.
Bromsgrove captain Steve Jones said: "In all the years I've been playing, I can't recall such a close end to the season."
