FAIRFIELD Villa finished up convincing 2-0 winners at Earlswood Town in Midland League Division Two.

Goals in either half from Ellis Blakemore and Connor Collins sealed a comprehensive victory but spokesman Paul Oakes admitted: "We should have won by much more."

Manager Wayne Davis brought in experienced goalkeeper Alex Page and Oakes added: " I can only remember him having one save to make. It was a really comfortable return as he spent most of the game as a spectator."

Villa were close to full strength with only the suspended Ben Smith absent.

Villa have also added another goalkeeper to their ranks with Chris Mole returning after completing the cricket season with Chaddesley Corbett.

Mole's arrival leaves Davis with a few selection posers ahead of Saturday's trip to Droitwich in the Worcester County Junior Cup.

Villa will be out for revenge having lost to Droitwich 2-0 in the same competition last season. Kick off is at 2-30pm.
