DROITWICH Dolphins followed up recent success with another win in the second round of the National Arena Swimming League Division Three West.

With 19 victories, 14 second places and eight thirds out of 50 events, it was a dominant performance from an ever-improving team.

The most impressive performance came from the women’s open team, who won all seven of their races.

Ruth Hadley led the way with victories in the open 200-metre individual medley, 100m backstroke and 100m breaststroke.

Rebecca Hadley took the open 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle.

They were joined by Elle Mortimer and Ashleigh Turner to win the open medley relay and by Anja Kristy and Elize Smith to finish first in the 6x50m freestyle relay.

Other victories went to Turner 15/u 100m backstroke, Smith 15/u 100m freestyle, Martha Stead 11/u 50m backstroke, Patrick Florendo 11/u 50m backstroke, Will Hughes 11/u 50m butterfly, George Grech 13/u 100m breaststroke and freestyle and Huw Hillson 15/u 100m breaststroke and butterfly.

Turner and Smith were joined by Kristy and Erin Huxley to win the 15/u freestyle relay.

Grech, Guy Duffy, Oliver McCullough and Alex Munro took victory in both the 13/u medley and freestyle relays.

The victory puts Dolphins in a strong position going into the third and final round on December 10 when they will be going all out to achieve promotion to Division Two.
