DROITWICH Athletics Club host their sixth Droitwich Half Marathon on Sunday, March 5.
The road race is open to all runners, male and female, aged over 17 who are eager to take part in a challenging course around the countryside surrounding Spa.
A scenic, undulating route takes in the quiet country lanes of Salwarpe, Ladywood, Hadley, Porters Mill and Fernhill Heath before finishing at Droitwich Spa High School athletics track.
Cotswold Leisure have provided prizes for the male and female winners and runners-up, while Rivers Leisure has put on goodie bags for all finishers who will also receive a medal and T-shirt.
Race director Martin Smith said: “Not everyone realises Droitwich has a half marathon running event.
“It is hosted by the local athletics club and we attract runners from all over Worcestershire and surrounding counties.
“The popularity for this yearly event is growing, especially as many use it as a training race in preparation for the London or Manchester Marathons.”
Limited spaces are available and entries close on Tuesday, February 28.
