DROITWICH Spa romped home 4-0 at mid-table Bloxwich Town in a match of three red cards to go top of Midland League Division Two.
Spa’s front pairing of Nick Seabourne and recent signing Louis Bridges caused problems.
Seabourne opened the scoring on 20 minutes with a back-heel from Brad Burgess’ cross that foxed keeper Shaun Horan as it sneaked over the line.
Burgess added to the lead in fortuitous fashion as a Jamie Smith corner slipped out of Horan’s hands and was tapped home from two yards.
Horan saved from Bridges and Seabourne before Spa made it 3-0 five minutes before half-time when Burgess set up Bridges to net his first goal for the club from 12 yards.
Home captain John Griffiths was sent off for a two-footed challenge on Haydn Morris in the second half before Dean Williams fouled Max Crisp from behind and both players were red carded.
Bloxwich finished the game with eight men due to an injury before Burgess added a fourth goal two minutes from time.
Spa host Paget Rangers on Saturday (2.30pm).
