ALVECHURCH and Hopwood had to settle for an eight wicket defeat when facing Five Ways Old Edwardians in Worcester County League Division Three.
That was after Alvechurch were finally removed for 179 all out with just four balls remaining from their full allotment of 50 overs with extras providing top score of 40.
Five Ways then forced their way to a winning 181 for two with eight overs to spare after opening bat James Hamilton hit 69 while Usman Mahmood added a further 49 not out.
