DROITWICH Spa picked up their first Midland League Division Two win in four games with a 4-2 success at county rivals Feckenham.

Spa had slipped down the table with three straight defeats but moved up to ninth thanks to goals from James Lemon (2), Haydn Morris and Nick Seabourne.

Droitwich host Moors Academy on Saturday looking for a first league win of the season at their temporary Walshes Meadow base in Stourport.

In an entertaining game at Studley Sports and Social Club, Spa started better by moving the ball well in difficult conditions.

Lemon fired Spa ahead with a low finish past stranded keeper Josh Goddard after a free-kick from distance was misjudged by the Feckenham defence.

The hosts looked for an equaliser but Spa’s Matt Oliver blocked Jack Brimmell's effort.

However, the leveller arrived when captain Jake Donnelly’s long throw was well controlled by Jordan Adams who turned his marker and fired home.

But Spa regained the lead within 40 seconds when a right-wing cross was tapped in by Morris.

Feckenham equalised again in the second half when Donnelly beat Oliver to the ball after Daniel Williams’ strike from outside the box was deflected into his path.

But Spa began to regain control with Goddard pushing away Lemon’s close-range header.

Feckenham were reduced to 10 men when a reckless challenge by Adam Garmson on the Droitwich keeper saw the forward sent off.

Last-ditch defending, the crossbar and good keeping kept the visitors at bay before Seabourne cut in before firing home nine minutes from time.

It was four for Spa in injury-time when Lemon raced clear and finished well.
