YOUNGSTERS from Bromsgrove Hockey Club have qualified for the National Finals after a strong performance in the Midlands competition.
The under-12 Boys team qualified as one of the top ten teams in the country by finishing runners-up in the Midlands competition on Sunday (April 29).
Bromsgrove represented Worcestershire at the regional finals at the Nottingham Hockey Centre. They reached the final with victories over Ashby, Beeston, Lichfield, Northampton and Repton before losing to Rugby in the final.
The club will return to Nottingham for the National Finals on May 12.
Team coach Peter Bryant said: "We are very proud of the hard work and dedication shown by the boys.
"It is only the second year the club have qualified for the Midlands competition, and to reach the National finals is a tremendous achievement."
