AVONCROFT were out of luck this week when their trip to Eastnor was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
They will be hoping for better fortune when they host local rivals Bromsgrove thirds in Worcester County League Division Three.
Bromsgrove will be bidding to bounce back following a 100 run reverse against Netherton.
Set to chase an imposing Netherton total of 277 for seven, Bromsgrove were bowled out for 177.
Pride of place went to Bromsgrove opener Jacob Matthews who held his side's innings together with a timely 92 that included 16 fours and a six.
Nobody else reached double figures as Matthews proceeded to run out of partners.
Earlier both Matt Hall with 72 and Hassan Shah on 77 not out had impressed with the bat for Netherton while Freddie Fallows with three for 45 and Nick Blackmore who took two for 35 proving the pick of Bromsgrove's bowling attack.
