THE aim now for Bromsgrove Rovers is to prevent their season from petering out, starting with this afternoon’s visit of Chasetown (3pm).
Three consecutive 2-0 defeats have seen Rovers crash out of the Birmingham Senior Cup and stay routed in the bottom half of the BGB Midlands One table.
With promotion or relegation extremely unlikely and involvement in all cup competitions over, the Greens are already building for next season.
However, they will be out to avenge their 2-1 defeat at the Scholars Ground last month.
Walsall youngster James Travis could be in line to start for the hosts after manager Rod Brown revealed he was closing to completing a deal for the player.
Defender Barry Woolley is suspended following his red card against Marlow.
Since their victory over Rovers on January 13, Chasetown have won three of their four games to establish themselves among the pack of sides chasing leaders Leamington.
Charlie Blakemore’s men have only lost one of their last nine matches, a 2-0 defeat at AFC Sudbury.
Daniel Smith is their top goalscorer in the league with 11 goals so far this campaign.
