WORCESTERSHIRE duo Josh Dell and George Scrimshaw are taking part in a five-day England Development Programme training camp this week after being selected for the Young Lions.

Middle order batsman Dell and pace bowler Scrimshaw are being put through their paces at the National Performance Centre at Loughborough.

Scrimshaw signed his first professional contract this summer with Worcestershire - along with opening batsman Ollie Westbury.

He was called up for the second England Under-19s Test versus Sri Lanka Under-19s at Northampton but had to withdraw with an infected toe.

Dell was part of the Under-19 side which did battle in two Tests and three ODIs with the Sri Lankans.

The County pair will also take part in a further training camp at the NPC from November 19 to 21.

Dell and Scrimshaw will then join the England Lions in Dubai for a three week training camp from December 3-21.

The 17-strong squad of players will be led by head coach Andy Hurry and will play two one-day and one three-day match in Dubai.

All those selected are eligible for the England Under-19s tour of India in January and February when they will take part in two four-day and three one-day games against India Under-19s.

In Dubai, Hurry will be supported by many of the Lions coaches, including Andy Flower, Graham Thorpe, Peter Such, Chris Taylor and Bruce French, as well as former Durham team-mates Neil Killeen and Paul Collingwood.
