WORCESTERSHIRE batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore struck a half-century in Himley’s emphatic eight-wicket victory at Barnards Green in Birmingham and District League Division One.

Kohler-Cadmore had been dropped from Worcestershire’s side for their Specsavers County Championship Division Two clash at Sussex after verbally agreeing to join Yorkshire next season.

Himley’s Adam Finch (3-32) and Stuart Wedge (3-33) polished off Green for 154 before opener Kohler-Cadmore (56) and former Herefordshire captain Chris Boroughs (41 not out) steered Himley to an emphatic victory against the Malvern outfit.

The change of formats from 50 over win/lose to 55 over win/lose/draw games hasn’t affected Division Two leaders Oswestry who maintained their 100% start to the season with a 31-run win over Worcester's Old Elizabethans.

Warrick Fynn (105) scored his third century of the season and Robbie Clarke hit 62 in an Oswestry total of 250-5.

However, the Old Elizabethans innings was undermined by Sadaf Hussein (5-71) and Mark Robinson (4-52).

Despite an unbeaten 76 from Jack Myers and 52 from James Padden, the Worcester club were dismissed for 219.

Early season pace-setters Fordhouses crashed to a second defeat in seven days, this time to Pershore, who were promoted from Division Three, alongside the Wolverhampton side, last season.

Pershore’s 88-run win takes them up to fourth place, eight points behind Fordhouses.

Liam Ridings hit 60 and Chris Miles finished unbeaten on 43 in Pershore’s total of 184-6.

Matthew Brace (3-15), Darren Critcher (3-33) and Taylor Pugh (3-35) then combined for Pershore to bowl out Fordhouses for just 88.

One of only two draws in all four divisions came at Coventry where the home side were restricted to 173-8 in reply to a Kabir Ali-inspired 238-5from C & R Hawks.

The ex-Worcestershire player hit an unbeaten 90. Harry Horsley took 6-57 for Coventry who were indebted to 91 not out from Matthew Clements for their draw.
