WORCESTERSHIRE Rapids are without all-rounder Daryl Mitchell for their NatWest T20 Blast North Group season finale at Derbyshire Falcons’ 3aaa County Ground tonight (7pm).

The 33-year-old suffered what director of cricket Steve Rhodes described as a “little hamstring aggravation” while bowling during Wednesday’s T20 Blast defeat at Lancashire Lightning.

Mitchell has scored 208 runs at an average of 26.00 and taken five wickets with an economy rate at 7.60 to go third in the County’s batting and bowling averages.

He will concentrate on striving to be fit for the finale of the County Championship campaign and is Worcestershire’s leading run-scorer in red-ball cricket.

All-rounder George Rhodes replaces Mitchell in the 12-strong squad at Falcons.

Mitchell Santner makes the final appearance of his current County spell. The consistent New Zealander conceded only 16 runs in four overs against Lancashire.

Rapids will look to end a disappointing T20 Blast campaign on a high note and have defeated Derbyshire in the One-Day Cup and Championship in Derby this summer.

But they lost in the T20 Blast meeting at New Road.

Rapids from: Leach, Clarke, Santner, D’Oliveira, Cox, Whiteley, Barnard, Rhodes, Hepburn, Tongue, Brown, Scrimshaw.
