STEVE Rhodes is looking forward to seeing how promising Worcestershire pace duo Dillon Pennington and Adam Finch react under pressure as part of the Young Lions squad this winter.

The County's director of cricket is to take charge of the Young Lions ahead of January's ICC Under 19 World Cup in New Zealand.

Finch has played two one-day internationals for the under 19s against India during the summer but it is a first opportunity for Pennington.

Rhodes said: “They are both giants, 6ft 5ins, both useful prospects with the ball and certainly Dillon has got ability with the bat as well.

“It will be a great opportunity for me to enhance that relationship and see how they go under some pressure situations.

“Finchy played a couple of times against India. He didn’t get a great deal of bowling but is a year older now and will have more responsibility and be ready to take that.”
