WORCESTERSHIRE enjoyed the better of a two-day draw with Warwickshire at Barnt Green ahead of the Specsavers Under 17 County Championship programme.

They launch their fixtures against Hampshire at Stourbridge on Monday in a three-day fixture.

The hosts won the toss against Warwickshire and on day one totalled 337-9 off 104 overs.

Openers Daniel Holland (60) and Bilal Hussain (96) put on 132 for the first wicket.

Worcestershire at one stage fell to 190-6 but then Edward Bragg (68) and Henry Cullen (57) put on 82 for the seventh wicket.

A further 46 were added for the ninth wicket by Cullen and George Marshall (13 not out).

When Warwickshire batted on day two, they were bowled out for 211 in 67.4 overs.

George and Henry Marshall ended with 2-33 and 2-31 respectively.

Josh Baker (2-31) and Hasnain Nawaz (2-26) continued the good work with the ball.

Warwickshire batted again and in 24 overs reached 116-3.

Bragg (1-31), George Marshall (1-18) and Nawaz (1-23) enjoyed one wicket apiece.
