WORCESTERSHIRE seconds lost to their Warwickshire counterparts in two T20 matches at Edgbaston.

The hosts won by 37 runs and then 59 runs in game two.

In the first contest, Warwickshire elected to bat and totalled 203-7 with Will Rhodes hitting 66 off 37 balls.

He was caught at extra cover off trialist Brinder Phagura who also accounted for Matthew Lamb (40) at backward point.

Phagura ended with 3-24 from four overs.

Skipper Ollie Westbury raced to 75 off 47 balls with two sixes and nine fours and shared in stands of 63 with Tom Fell (21) and 65 with Alex Milton (43).

But after the opener was third out at 132 there was a clatter of wickets including four in five balls on 156.

In game two, Worcestershire gave a debut to Barnards Green player Josh Blunt.

The hosts again opted to take first knock and got 206-6 despite losing three wickets for 37 with two to Riecko Parker-Cole (2-32).

Opener Adam Hose hit a 36-ball 59 and shared in a fourth-wicket stand of 73 with Lamb before falling to a fine catch by debutant Xavier Clarke.

Lamb made 65 from 41 deliveries before he perished after a stand of 68 with Rhodes who ended unbeaten on 52 from 24 balls.

Phagura took 2-35.

The County lost regular wickets apart from a fifth-wicket stand of 53 between Milton and Clarke who made 22 before he was stumped.

Milton passed 40 for the second time in the day with two sixes and four fours in 26 balls before he holed out as the visitors were dismissed for 147 in 17.2 overs.
