JACK Haynes and Zain Ul-Hassan scored half-centuries for injury-hit Worcestershire seconds in an eight-wicket loss to Glamorgan at Royal Grammar School Worcester.

The hosts were without George Rhodes (finger) and then lost Xavie Clarke (ankle) and Adam Finch (back).

But replacement Ul-Hassan (56) and Haynes (57) showed resistance in the three-day friendly.

The County resumed the last day on 53-3 and with a player short due to the injuries before being bowled out for 187.

Glamorgan reached their 121 target for the loss of two wickets in 29 overs.

They had scored 297 in their first innings with Steve Magoffin taking 4-43 in reply to 230 all out when Josh Dell top scored with 84.

Worcestershire academy drew their final Tri-Series game as Northamptonshire batted out the three-day encounter at Overstone.

The hosts faced a first-innings deficit of 156 after the County recovered from 43-3 to post 482-9 thanks to centuries from Charlie Clist (188) and Ed Bragg (116).

But they took the run aggregate to 1,204 by reaching 396-6 — a lead of 240 — before the sides shook hands. Lewis Evans picked up two wickets.
