County switch Netherlands game to Kidderminster

First published in News

DUE to the recent inclement weather and the resulting flood of New Road, Worcestershire CCC has made the decision to switch the venue of the CB40 match against Netherlands, on Monday, to Kidderminster.

Netherlands Cricket have been informed of the decision and are fully supportive of the change in venues.

The flood levels at New Road peaked last night at four metres and there remains a substantial amount of standing water on the outfield adjacent to the marquee.

While only part of the ground is underwater at present and as the longevity of the flooding remains in doubt, the venue for the LV=CC match against Surrey will be decided at a later date when the club has had opportunity to evaluate the condition of the pitch and affected facilities.

Further details with regards the match on Monday will be available over the next few days and updates will be posted on the club's website at wccc.co.uk.

The details for the Kidderminster ground are as follows: Chester Road North Kidderminster Worcestershire DY10 1TH
