A CHILD was taken to hospital in a critical condition after an air ambulance landed on a school's playing fields.
The child was taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital for treatment from a private address off Farmer's Way in Droitwich.
The ambulance landed on the playing fields at Westlands First School and Nursery this morning (Tuesday).
A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.56am to a medical emergency at a private address off Farmer’s Way.
"We sent one ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham.
"Crews arrived to find a boy in a critical condition.
"He was treated on scene before being conveyed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital by land."
