A CAR had to be recovered this weekend after it ended up in a canal near Droitwich.
Emergency services were called to a report of a car in the canal at Ladywood, between Droitwich and Worcester.
Teams from West Mercia Police and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service all attended, with a water rescue team also being deployed.
Crews from Worcester, Droitwich and Evesham all attended, and no one was found to be in the car while in the water.
HW Fire Control confirmed the news in a tweet, which said: "HW Fire Worcester, Droitwich and Evesham mobilised to a report of a car in Droitwich Canal at Ladywood.
"Water Rescue Team deployed following information from West Mercia Police.
"Confirmation was given that no persons were trapped in the car."
