A county hospital is looking to support the frontline in Ukraine with a 'gift list' of supplies.
The Droitwich Spa Hospital has launched a new ‘gift list style’ website that allows people to purchase urgently needed items.
The goods will then be collected by the hospital’s owners, Circle Health Group, and sent to hospitals in Ukraine.
A medical director at the hospital said: “I would like to thank everyone at The Droitwich Spa Hospital and Circle Health Group for the invaluable support you have provided.
“We are sure that all the medical aid will help in the treatment of our patients during this terrible period.
“The support of people from Great Britain is now very valuable for Ukrainians. We will always remember this.”

Circle Health Group is the UK’s largest independent hospital group with 53 in its network.
So far, the group has donated around 200 tonnes or £2 million worth of medical supplies since the war began, by working in partnership with the British Red Cross and the Ukrainian doctors’ union.
Since March 15, a team of hauliers from the UK, Poland and Ukraine have made a weekly journey to deliver supplies, navigating through war-torn regions to reach the hospitals in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odessa and Lviv. ]

Situation still 'desperate'
The new gift list website was launched in response to requests from patients.
Items in particular need include ventilators, crutches, walking frames, respiratory masks, scrubs, bandages and wound kits.
Paolo Pieri, CEO of Circle Health Group, said: “War can fade from the headlines quickly, but the reality for doctors and nurses and their patients in hospitals across Ukraine remains desperate.
“Urgent supplies are running short and months of war is taking a heavy toll on morale.
“As a fellow European hospital operator, we feel a moral obligation to help.
“We know the British public have taken the plight of Ukraine to heart, and we are appealing to them to help us make sure these hospitals have the kit and supplies they need.”
