Situation: Clawdd Y Dre is a Grade ll* listed, town centre residence which is known to date back to 1590. In 1700, Henry Whittingham, the Bailiff to the Court of Burgesses bought the property and carried out a full schedule of works and extensions twenty years later.

In circa 1860, during the reign of Queen Victoria, a further extension was built which is currently being used as the 'sitting room' and included the rooms above. The most recent rooms to be added were in 1986, when the previous owners has the utility and conservatory built.

Montgomery, a charter town, and the county town of Montgomeryshire, hosts two farmers markets which take place on a Thursday and on a Saturday. These stallholders sell a variety of produce, from locally grown vegetables and fresh bread to fish and meats.

Other attractions include Montgomery Castle, an exciting range of shops and boutiques, tea rooms, public houses and locally recognised restaurants.

The town is known to be a walking centre, were one can go and explore this beautiful countryside, from Offa's Dyke to the Shropshire Hills which are designated as an AONB.

Directions: From Shrewsbury Town Centre, drive towards and through Westbury on the B4386. Follow this B-Road though Chirbury and into Montgomery. Once on the High Street, the B4385, take the third road on the left on to Lions Bank and the property is located in front of you, on the bend.
