Three new music acts are hoping to follow in the footsteps of Adele after being named on this year’s Brits Critics’ Choice shortlist.
The up-and-coming musicians named are Jack Garratt, Izzy Bizu and Frances.
Jack, who will be the support act for Mumford And Sons on their upcoming tour, said: “It’s amazing to be nominated for the Brits Critics’ Choice Award 2016. It’s such a significant award that highlights the importance of new music, so it’s a genuine honour to have been nominated alongside some other incredible new acts from the UK.”
Twenty-one year old Bizu is set to release her debut album in May next year, while Frances is currently touring the US, following a successful UK headline tour.
Previous winners of the accolade include Adele, Sam Smith, Emeli Sande and James Bay.
The winner will be announced on Friday November 27, and will be awarded their prize at next year’s Brit Awards in February.
