RUBERY residents are gearing up for their annual village festival being held this Sunday, September 8.

The event is being held at is traditional venue, St Chad’s Park, and there will be the usual mix of attractions to keep the family entertained.

The event begins at noon with a performance from Jasmine Rawlins. On stage throughout the rest of the afternoon will be a number of live musical performances, plus dancers, a ventriloquist and belly dancers.

Among the performers will be I L Divina, Ricardo Morgan, Esther Turner, Chloe Barry, Shawting and Alesi Summer.

There will be something for everyone at the festival as it also includes arts and crafts, a bouncy castle, children’s rides, face painting, charity and food stalls.

There is free entry to the festival, which runs until 5.30pm.

Festival organiser Tony Maslen said everyone is welcome to attend, and he hopes there will be a good turnout.
