A BROMSGROVE theatre is hosting a popular band in September.
The Blues Band will be performing at the Artrix theatre, in School Drive, on Saturday, September 20.
The band was formed in 1979 by former Manfred Mann group members, Paul Jones and Tom McGuinness, originally to play a few pub gigs.
Over the years their line up has changed with slide guitar ace and vocalist Dave Kelly recruited, Gary Fletcher filling the bass post, and Rob Townsend replacing Hughie Flint in 1982 at the drums.
The band was originally intended as a back to their roots projects, simply to earn some beer money, but over the years they realised the band was something the public were looking for.
They have gone on to release around 20 albums, playing all around the world in various venues including clubs, civic halls and theatres - even performing at Glastonbury.
The gig is being held from 8pm.
Tickets cost £19.50 and are available by calling 01527 577330, or visit artrix.co.uk.
