THE Deputy Lieutenant for Worcestershire, Angela Brinton, did the honours by cutting the red ribbon to officially unveil Winstead Corporation's new Bromsgrove premises.
General manager Terry Shough and other staff, along with Randy Smith, president of the Minneapolis-based Winsted corporation which manufactures control room console, were present to welcome guests to the event
The event at the company’s new site on Bromsgrove Enterprise Park, was also a chance to see how control room design has moved on since the days of line drawings, and to hear about how the company has seen most of its sales overseas, which has led to the control room furniture company twice winning the Queens Award for Enterprise in the international trade category.
A spokesman for Winsted said that the company's move from nearby Droitwich was prompted by expansion, having outgrown their old premises, and giving themselves room to expand further.
