RUBERY youngsters have been supporting a harvest festival collection.
Children at Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School, based in Longbridge Methodist Church, were encouraged to bring in donations of tinned food for the collection that is being passed on to a homeless charity.
The youngsters attended a harvest festival service, which was held by Reverend Mary Shannahan on September 22.
During the service the children listened to and joined in with the story of the Little Red Hen, and then performed two harvest themed action songs.
Jacqueline Walker, the nursery's manager, said the harvest festival event is organised as it is important for children to learn about the needs of others and ways in which they can help.
