THIS year's Miss Worcestershire is launching a new ale, named in her honour, at a grand charity auction in Stoke Prior later this week.

Laura Beth Morgan, who won the title in January is being supported in her bid for her next big challenge, to become Miss England, by local brewery Sadler’s Ales, and the brewery has named its latest brew ‘Miss Worcestershire Ale’ in her honour.

The brewery will be launching the new ale at a charity auction, taking place on Friday, April 8 at Redhouse Barn in Stoke Prior, with proceeds from the auction going to Laura's chosen charity ‘Beauty with a Purpose’, which helps disadvantage children worldwide.

Laura said: “I’m overwhelmed by Sadler’s generosity in giving all proceeds from the sale of the Miss Worcestershire Ale to my charity. Sadler’s are also donating five ‘Brew a Beer Day’ tickets to be auctioned and five brewery tour tickets to be raffled off.”

Sales manager and spokesman for Sadler’s Ale, Marc Raymond, added: “I am pleased to support the fundraising event working alongside Laura Beth Morgan, by involving Laura in brewing her own Miss Worcestershire Ale at the brewery.”

The evening, which is due to start at 7.30pm, will also include a number of different auction lots, food, and dancing until 1am, all of which is included in the ticket price of £20.
