A PLAYGROUP in Rednal has been busy baking cakes for its three charity coffee mornings last week.
Children at Playdays Playgroup helped to bake and decorate cakes to be sold at St Stephen's Church to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Pupils were taught how they could help people less fortunate than themselves and raised nearly £70 in the process.
The group is now collecting tins and packets for a food bank next month.
Playgroup leader Jules Kite-Lightfoot said: "We feel it is important to teach children at a young age to appreciate what they have and to be aware of others less fortunate and help others when they can."
