GENEROUS golfers helped to raise a fantastic fundraising tally of almost £10,000 at a charity golf day held in Blackwell.
More than 60 players took part in the Rotary Club of North Worcestershire’s 17th annual charity golf day at the Blackwell Golf Club on Thursday, August 31.
A raffle, auction, and a dinner raised £1,345 towards the final tally of £9,750, with the event also supported by 64 sponsors.
Money raised will be split between good causes including Young Carers, Sight Concern, Spectrum Days, and Rigby High School.
President of the Rotary Club Derek Radcliffe said: “This will go a long way in helping our club support a number of local charities that otherwise have great difficulty in raising funds for their deserving causes.”
Mr Radcliffe also presented prizes to winning golfers Matthew Quigley and Jon Whitehead.
