A GROUP of Primrose Hospice staff from Bromsgrove will be harnessing flower power when they complete a 13-mile trek dressed as giant primroses.
Jane Stalley, Claire Stallard, Julie Kimberley and Ann Goddard will tackle the Tissington Trail through the Peak District on Sunday, May 20, hoping to raise £500.
Ms Stalley, who works as an adult family support councillor, said: “We all get on as colleagues and it is something we thought would be a nice way to raise money for Primrose.
“I would not say we are keen walkers. We have done a small amount of training but nothing like 13 miles.
“We have allowed ourselves around six to seven hours but we haven’t set ourselves any target. It will just be a day to enjoy.
“We will be dressed up as Primrose’s as well so it will certainly be different.”
The route runs through beautiful countryside from Ashbourne to Parsley Hay.
Nearly £400 has already been raised, and anyone wishing to donate can visit justgiving.com/fundraising/tissingtontrailers1.
