MORE than 50 guests and dogs attended the official launch of Bromsgrove's new pet fitness and rehabilitation centre.

The event, on June 7, began with a Pimm's and Prosecco reception on the patio of Clent Hills Vets' new Worcester Road facility, followed by live demonstrations of its equipment.

Labradors Lizzie and Bailey and goldendoodle Max tested out the hydro pool with hydrotherapists Harriet Lowe and Debbie Rice, while border collie Mac and Staffordshire bull terrier Arnie demonstrated the heated water treadmill with physiotherapist Laura Cockram.

Rebekka Fiorani, practice manager at Clent Hills Vets, said: “Everyone has worked incredibly hard towards the launch of our new purpose-built centre.

"The official launch was an incredibly proud moment for us all. We are looking forward to working with local pet owners to help improve the overall wellbeing of their animals.”

The treatments available at the centre are designed to improve pets' mobility, fitness, physique and water confidence, as well as rehabilitation post-surgery, injury or illness.

Chairman of Bromsgrove District Council, Caroline Spencer, who was a special guest at the launch, said: "I was very impressed by how helpful and dedicated the team of staff is.

"The centre is a lovely, friendly and calming environment for pets and their owners. I am so pleased to see a new business set up in the town to serve local residents.”
