TWO firms in Catshill are the first 'non food and drink' retailers to sign up to a national refill scheme.
Phoenix Flooring and Bedrooms and The Modern Electric Tattoo Co have joined the 'Refill Bromsgrove' campaign, which means people can find them on an app and visit them to fill up their re-usable bottles with water.
The scheme is being driven by Bromsgrove District Council’s centres manager Cheryl Welsh, who is inviting businesses to sign up.
She said: “As well as reducing the use of plastic bottles, joining the scheme means that visitors to Bromsgrove will visit retailers and businesses which they usually wouldn’t, because they are on the map, and so can discover more of what the district has to offer!
“We are also about to sign up our tenth member which is great news.”
Call Cheryl on 07977 207718 or visit refill.org.uk for details.
