A VETS with practices in Bromsgrove, Hagley and Rubery have donated more than £300 to the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust.
Clent Hills Vets have chosen the wildlife conservation organisation as their Charity of the Year for 2018.
As part of that, they are donating 50 per cent of the sales of their first aid kids for pets to benefit the Trust.
The vets practice has also been running smaller fundraising activities.
Mike Perry, head of resources for the Trust, said: “Many thanks to the staff at Clent Hills Vets for choosing us as their Charity of the Year but thanks also to everyone who has bought a First Aid Kit or helped to support their fundraising initiatives such as raffles and fun competitions.
“It’s through help and support from individuals like our members and volunteers as well as the team at Clent Hills Vets that our work is possible.
“The money that has been donated so far will go to help our work on almost 80 nature reserves right across the county as well as help to inspire people about the wonders of our wildlife.”
Clent Hills Vets started selling their first aid kits for pets at a free event in April to help owners get to grips with basic first aid for their pets.
The vets also had a stand at the recent Jinney Ring’s Animals R Magic event and raised more money for the Trust through a competition to guess how many treats were in a jar in order to win a free swim for their dog in the new Clent Hills Pet Fitness & Rehabilitation Centre.
Staff at Clent Hills Vets are also being granted a day off to promote wellbeing and team working and are being encouraged to volunteer with the Trust on one of their nature reserves.
