A FOOD Warehouse, costing three quarters of a million pounds, has officially opened at Bromsgrove Retail Park.

The new wholesale-styled supermarket, which is owned by Iceland, opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, October 23, bringing 30 new jobs to the town.

Speaking about the new store, Food Warehouse managing director Richard Walker said: "We’re delighted to have opened our new store in Bromsgrove.

"The Food Warehouse is an innovative store format, responding to the changing needs of shoppers by offering amazing bulk-buy deals and homeware offers alongside a fantastic range of frozen, fresh and chilled foods.”

Launched just four years ago, The Food Warehouse now has more 75 stores across Britain, offering the convenience of bulk buying without the need for membership.

Every customer who visited the new store on Tuesday was entered into a free prize draw to be in with a chance of winning a selection of home appliances and gift vouchers.

The Bromsgrove branch offers exclusive 'when it's gone, it's gone' deals on homeware items and more than 3,000 product lines.

Bromsgrove store manager Louise Dawes said: "Our opening day has been great fun for the whole family and our team are so excited to welcome the people of Bromsgrove to our brand new store.”

The store is open Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. Visit thefoodwarehouse.com for more information.
