A WOMAN was left with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car in Hollywood on Friday night.

Police were called to the scene in Alcester Road at around 10.20pm on October 26, after a pedestrian, aged in her 60s, was hit by a black BMW 530 D SE.

The car was travelling past the Packhorse pub in the direction of the Maypole roundabout, where it is believed to have moved to the opposite lane and then back again, at some point hitting and seriously injuring the woman.

She was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and her condition is currently unknown.

The driver, a 31-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving. The car received minor damage to the bumper, bonnet and windscreen.

Three unknown males, believed to be in the car at the time, fled the scene and are being sought by police.

Investigating officers are now urging anyone with information on the crash to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 803s.
