A MAN stole groceries from Aldi in Stourbridge, a court has heard.

Lee Brookes, aged 51, from Bromley Place, Wolverhampton, pleaded guilty to stealing groceries worth £43.39 at Dudley Magistrates Court on December 13. He was ordered to pay costs, fines and compensation totalling £145 and is required to observe a curfew for four weeks.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates Court.

Howar Hasan, aged 28, of Beaconview Road, West Bromwich, pleaded guilty to possessing a stun gun. He received a community order and is required to undertake 100 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months. He was also ordered to pay fines, compensation and costs totalling £270. The stun gun must also be destroyed.

Benjamin Mosses, aged 26, of Westbrook Way, Wombourne, pleaded guilty to possessing an extendable police baton without lawful authority or reasonable excuse. He also pleaded guilty to driving a car on Limes Road without a license and insurance and while being disqualified from driving. He was ordered by Dudley Magistrates Court to do 80 hours of unpaid work and pay £220 in fines, costs and compensation. He was also banned from driving for 12 months.

Tanya Smythe, aged 44, of Woodland Avenue, Quarry Bank, pleaded guilty to sending malicious Facebook messages to Demi Booth. She received a 12 month custodial sentence, suspended for 18 months. She was ordered to pay 100 hours of unpaid work and must pay £300 in fines and costs. She was also banned from contacting Demi Booth directly or indirectly.

Jane Slater, aged 40, of Wellington Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to stealing £17 worth of laundry products from B&M. She also pleaded guilty to stealing £100 worth of items on display from Wilkos in Dudley. She received a community order and was told to pay £100 in compensation, at Dudley Magistrates Court.

Bradley Stanford, aged 19, of Leasowe Road, Tipton, pleaded guilty to damaging Richard Summers' Ford Focus in Oldbury. He was ordered to pay fines, costs and compensation totalling £477 and is banned from contacting Mr Summers directly or indirectly for 12 months.

Alin Gaman, aged 19 of Marsh Lane, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to stealing £23 worth of toothbrushes from Poundland. He received a conditional discharge for 12 months and was ordered to pay £25 in costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Danny Bowen, aged 24, of Abigail Walk, Halesowen, pleaded guilty to assaulting Zoe Copson. He received a community order and must undertake 60 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £495 in costs, compensation and fines and is banned from contacting Zoe Copson.
