BROMSGROVE folk can shine a light for a former loved one by taking part in the Primrose Hospice Lantern Walk which takes place around the scenic grounds of Hanbury Hall early next month.

Walkers can enjoy a magical evening amongst the picturesque setting of the National Trust property in Droitwich.

Everyone taking part in the event on Saturday February 2 will be given a lantern and a battery operated tea light to carry along the route while youngsters under 12 will be handed glow sticks to help them light the way.

There will be fairy lights illuminating part of the walk, while the evening will be concluded by a performance from the Primrose Choir.

Hospice fundraiser Anna Wilson said: "It's an opportunity for family, friends and colleagues to remember a loved one by taking part.

"Money raised from the walk will allow Primrose Hospice to continue its vital work in the local community.

"We support patients living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

"But every year, we must raise over £1.75 million in order to continue providing essential services free of charge."
