SNOW and ice is set to sweep North Worcestershire and the Wyre Forest this week as temperatures plunge.
The Met Office has issued a 'Yellow Warning' for the next two days, with temperatures dropping to -4°.
Freezing rain will turn to snow, which will mostly affect hilly areas, then turn to ice.
Some roads and railways will likely be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
There is likely to be ice on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
People are asked to adjust their driving, plan their journey's carefully, and check latest weather forecasts.
Jon Fraser from Worcestershire County Council Highways said "We are expecting some challenging weather conditions across the county this week, with snow likely on Tuesday and Thursday.
"Our gritters will be out from 6pm on Monday and we will be continually monitoring road conditions and the latest Met Office information to respond accordingly.
"If you are travelling in the county this week, please drive carefully. We will have the most up to date information available on Twitter @WorcsTravel"
