MADAM - Amidst all the current rows about “back stops” and “No deal” or “Mrs May’s deal”’ we are in danger of forgetting all that we already enjoy as members of the EU.

We are part of the largest single market in the world. The EU has just signed a free trade agreement with Japan (which we are part of until we leave)…. So Why are we leaving?

We have guaranteed high food standards and safety standards for our children’s toys. We have the freedom to live, love and work anywhere in the EU … So Why are we leaving?

We have had 74 years of peace in Europe and an end to conflict in Northern Ireland brokered through our common membership of the EU…So Why are we leaving?

We are at a critical moment in our history and I still have to ask….Why are we leaving?

Your sincerely,

Hugh Williams,

Stourbridge,
